JUDGING

Judging will take place in front of the Grandstand at 12noon on Saturday 15th May 2021. At the time of writing this, it will be on the podium where we parade the greyhounds on race day.

We will begin with Class 1 (Puppy Dogs). The judge will go over the dogs in that class and award his place getters 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

The next class to enter for judging will be Class 2 the Pre-Race Dogs. The same for all the Dogs.  The winners of each of the dogs classes will remain close. When all the dogs are judged, the winners will have to go back into the ring to be judged for Best Dog.

This is repeated for the Bitches.  All the class winning bitches will remain close to be judged for the Best Bitch.

Now that we have a Best Dog & a Best Bitch. These 2 will go into the ring to be judged for Champion Greyhound.

After the celebrations to congratulate the Champion Greyhound, we will have a couple of novelty classes.  The first will be the Brace.

The brace is 2 greyhounds shown together by the one person. They would preferably be the same colour and of similar type.  No real rules here, just have them under control.

Then we have the kids showing the dogs. We have made provision for this class where any child over 12 years old can show a greyhound in this class as long as they are confident with the handling and have parents or guardian permission and support.  Remember, the show is so different for the greyhounds with noise and people, be mindful of the conditions.
